I work for a Japanese company, and I wanted to practice Japanese. I had a very intensive course. Last year I went to Japan for a conference. It was wonderful! I could speak to my friends very easily. After moving to Canada 3 years ago, my son was 7 and my daughter was 3. While my son initially spoke Russian fluently, over time he began to lose some of his vocabulary. He now struggles to express himself clearly in Russian and often uses English words when he can’t find the right Russian equivalent. My daughter, who was younger, is starting from scratch, but we’re dedicated to ensuring they both develop their language skills. They now study Russian with a tutor 2-3 times a week.

I moved to the U.S. 5 years ago, and I work as an engineer. While I speak English daily, I always wanted my children to keep up with their Italian, especially for family connections back in Italy. My son, who is 10, started struggling with Italian grammar and vocabulary. We began lessons with a tutor from Ninnel, and after a few months, his confidence in speaking Italian has grown tremendously. We’re planning to continue lessons for the long run to ensure he never loses his Italian.

After moving to the United States, we noticed a significant shift in our children’s Russian language skills. My son, who was 12 when we arrived, could speak Russian well, but now he finds it difficult to use advanced vocabulary. My daughter, who was only 2, is catching up more quickly, but there’s still a gap between them. We’ve enrolled both of them in Russian lessons with a tutor 3 times a week to ensure their language skills stay strong.
